View Full Version : Hit concrete, now my push mower won't start

I hit a piece of concrete with my trusty old Briggs 3.5 HP Quantum 35 100700; now it won't start. When pulling the starter cord, I feel some resistance, like it's not spinning like it should. Did I shear the flywheel key? Or something worse?

Thanks!:)

Hi gandrew55,
You likely sheared the key but you may have bent the shaft also giving you some resistance. Did you bend the blade?
Mike.

You could have bent the blade or crankshaft.
