I need to install a 220 volt dryer oulet in my home, none present now (gas only).
Slab foundation / attic accesible / walls must remain intact.
I am trying to get a ballpark figure on the cost of installation.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

With the information provided I'd say between $300-$1800.

How far from the breaker box do you have to go, the further you go, the larger size wire, Also is there room for a 220 breaker in the box?

I am sorry, what in this green earth does Walmart or Lowe's have to do with running a new 220 volt circuit. They don't sell the wire, they don't sell the breakers, and I doubt any of their clerks know how to run the wire?

how far from the breaker box do you have to go, the further you go, the larger size wire,While this is generally true for very long runs (like 200+ feet) inside a home it is not really an issue.
A standard electric dryer will use 10/3NM cable 99.999% of the time.

Sorry, keep forgetting, we do commercial, nothing in the home, our last run was 300 ft and we had to go up to #8 wire.
Well it could be a really "big" house?
