Hi there,
I have a little problem on the internet. I've been browsing the internet with mozilla Firefox 2, but I have not been able to view some images. Its kind of weird. Some images will appear but some won't. I know its not that the image has been deleted because of the sites I visit. Some specific examples of stuff that won't appear: YouTube (the ratings stars don't appear) and iGoogle (my page theme doesn't appear). I'm not sure what to download or update. If someone could tell me that would be great.
Additional info:
I also have IE 7 (tried it, same problem)
I have tried these same sites on my uncles laptop, and they work fine and show the correct images
I formatted my hard drive around 3 weeks ago. The sites worked fine and showed the pictures fine before I formatted it. I'm sure I updated something before, I just need help remembering what.
I have administrative privileges
Thanks in advance for any help. :D

It may be that you need updated java installed, try this links, first links would be for windows IE
Download Free Java Software - Sun Microsystems (http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp)
Firefox
Download Java software for Windows from Sun Microsystems (http://www.java.com/en/download/windows_xpi.jsp)
Go to each link is prospective browser

Hi seahwk83 I tried your suggestion, but I'm pretty sure that's not the problem. I went to the java link you provided, downloaded it (it said you have successfully installed java), and went to YouTube. Once again, the rating stars did not appear. But thanks for the response though. :)
I really have no idea on what to download / update.
Anyone else have any suggestions?

Unfortunately seahwk83, no it did not work. I did as you said, but the checkboxes were already checked. I also checked the exceptions, and there were none. Thanks again for your response though. :)
This problem is really stumping me. I have no idea what to update.

If you were not havint problems before, uninstall the app and then reinstall
The new version Firefox version 3 is going to be realeased on the 17th, if you decide to update then, uninstall what you have have and install new version, don't let it update to version 3, but uninstall and download new version

Well, I have Firefox 3 now. Still the same problem. I have no idea what's wrong.
Any possible solutions anyone?
Here's what my YouTube page looks like:

Argh. No luck. :(
And wouldn't the problem be something that doesn't affect just YouTube, since my iGoogle page is messed up too?
On YouTube, and correct me if I'm wrong, isn't there a YouTube logo in the top left corner? As you can see from my previous post, it along with the rating stars, are missing.
On my iGoogle page, there's supposed to be a theme throughout the page. Also, to the left of the snake game (where the date shows) is supposed to be an analog clock.
So basically all I know is that something is wrong haha.

some other things to try
Tools | Options | Content | Load Images <put checkmark here
1. Type about:config in the location bar
2. Filter for permissions.default.image
3. Change value to 1
1.a. Type about:config in the location bar
b. Filter for image.animation_mode
c. Change value to normal
check to see if you have any adware installed or firewall settings also

Well I did those things you suggested. Still giving me problems.
Everything was already as you say they should be set at.
Hmmmmmm...
EDIT:
WOOOOO!! Well I was browsin the mozilla help desk, and I followed a lot of tips and suggestions for image loading problems. I don't know what exactly fixed my problem, but one of them sure did!! Everything is back to normal now!
Thank you so much for your help seahwk83! Couldn't have done it without you.
Mission Accomplished!
