Hi I have a murry garden tractor 18.5 hp twin cylinder briggs & stratton I/c engine that will not start I have replaced the solenoid and still will not start it makes a whisling sound but does not turn over do I need a starter help

Your post will get more attention if we move you to tools and power. Tell me more about this noise. Does it sound like an electric motor whirring without turning over the engine?

I suspect it to be the bendix gear on the top of the starter either worn out, or not running up the bendix shaft.

My Murray Lawn Tractor will not start. When I turn the key it just clicks. The battery is strong. Could there be a fuse somewhere?
