Walk away. He is not going to change and you are missing out on other great parts of your life waiting for him. I am sorry, this isn't the answer you were hoping for but it is what I learned--the hard way. I was very much in love with a guy all through Jr hi, hi school and college. We were the best of friends when we were alone, he told me he loved me and would be there for me---until the others were around. I would have given up everything to spend the rest of my life with him. Eventually we lead our own lives and I have the most perfect husband in the world. Well, this other guy called me last June (we are now 40 yrs old) and told me that he missed out on the best chance ever with me and that he wished he had it to do over again. Well, it was bitter-sweet. I'm glad he said the words (including he always has and always will love me) but I'm glad I didn't wait around until we were 40 for him to figure it out. Besides, I ended up with a guy 100x's better!
