How much history do you need to know for eghth grade? I need to know what to cram, I've been homeschooled and I want to make sure I know it all, I think I do but not sure

If the parent that is homeschooling you is using certified material there should be no need to cram, you should be right on track.

I agree with ChihuahuaMomma, you shouldn't have to cram. Homeschool programs have to be approved by the Board of Education for your county. So your parents are teaching an approved program. Also things are taught differently in different states. Virginia state standards teach U.s. history 1877 to the present in 7th grade and civics in the 8th grade. Nevada will be different (where I see that you are from). Check out your states standards for detailed info. Here's a link to Nevada state standards. Nevada Department of Education | Standards (http://www.doe.nv.gov/standards.html) When you open this page click on social studies and the apppropriate grade. Hope this helps

And again depending on your state, there is no "required" topic of study for home school for each grade. There are many national programs, even accredited home school programs, So what type of program are you using, is it a faith based program ? Is the homeschool program though a well known program?

Both of my daughters were homeschooled. The above advise is excellent.
I will sound like a parent now... Work on your spelling!
