Hello, I am trying to find out how I can locate my ex-husband place of employment. I have his address and ss# all that stuff, but he won't tell me where he works so I can't tell the child support office... PLEASE HELP

The easiest way would be to have someone follow him there some time.

While you could hire a private detective, really, it is not that difficult if you know someone who has the time to see where he goes when he leaves for work.

Sounds like something I would be willing to do for a close friend, or relative in your situation.

If you have his SS# the Child Support office should be able to get this information from the SSA.

I don't know what state you are in but in my state it isn't up to the custodial parent to find out where the other works to give that information to the child support office. If you are trying to get your back support and the child support office already has his ss# (which if there was an order in place they do) they you may have to go back to court. The judge will probably say you have to pay "x" amount by the next court date or he/she can order garnishment of his paycheck, but depending on how he is employed (what tax form he is under) the employer dosen't have to garnish his pay they can simply say no.

If you go to the Child Support Office locally in person and give them his SSN and explain that he is in arrears with his child support payments, they will happily track him down for you. They do this every day and get the money that is due to the children from the dead beat dads.
