Earlier this year I heard a song from the Muzak vendor, which sounded a lot like chris martin of coldplay.It defintely isn't Coldplay, nor Keane, the Fray, or Embrace-suggestions I've heard before.. I DON'T kNOW THE Title either, the only way to decsribe it is to invert repeated chorus, from chris martin, on a high ballad, singing, "i'm running out of time, I keep running out of time.. repeatedly.These may not even be the correct lyrics.. so imagine in your head martin/coldplay singing those lyrics and maybe you'll trigger who the artist is.thank you.. p.s. I've already googled these lyrics and the bands that come up,like hot hot heat, and simple plan are not them.

I was looking for the same thing too!! And I finally found it. The artist is Greg Laswell, the song, Killing Moon, on the album Covers, is a cover of Echo & the Bunnymen's 1985 song Killing Moon. It's on iTunes. Enjoy!!
