Exactly, those girls are always on the beach anyway. Especially Rihanna when she goes back to her home/family in Barbados.

Skin treatments (peels, clarifying, etc), lighting, and makeup can all contribute to the way their skin looks.

Actually no. JLo and JAlba do not lighten their skin at all. It's a matter of tanning and not tanning. JLo once said that she likes it better when she's tan because her cellulite isn't as visible. And as for JAlba she prefers to be tanned because it makes her more sculpted and firm and just overall makes her look healthy... lately though since she been pregnant I'm guessing she has not done it in awhile.

Yeah let us know what you are using.I am using glutathione soap and it's working well for me,but I wouldn't mind gathering more knowledge on other good skin lightners.

Not yet because the dark spots on my body are not that bad and the soap seems to do the trick so I have not yet tried it,but I hear it's good from the gluta-c cream thread.

Ok I'm going to be blunt here and say those little snip bits of your pics could have very well been little snip bits of other random pictures from the internet. You've only shown parts of your face in all the pictures that makes a hard basis for before and after comparisons. I'm not convinced.

What did you use? I am trying to find the best & MOST effective skin lightener.. I've tried several products, but none seem to work.

My pictures are not from little "snip bits" of the internet. I wouldn't waste my time actually uploading all those pictures and posting them on here. I don't want my full pictures on here or anywhere on the internet (except Facebook lol)expecially on a site where I don't actually know anyone . Wouldn't be a very smart idea. My oppinon.

But to *msmccook* I've been using hydroquinone 2% soap and cream for about 4 years not anything over 2% I think will proberly irratate your skin I would never go over 2%. A cream I recommand is Dr. Fred Summit Lightening cream :) works wonders also "du du osan" it's a african black herbal soap works good and makes your makeup go on smoother and your skin soft. :)

Oh and Glutathione, I thought that only workd on asian skin just like diana stalder?

:pI do a lot of research and I don't think that these celebs rely solely on external products as when you look at the tones they all got the same skin tone and its almost see through, if you know what I mean, so they definitely consuming something internally, although I'm 1/2 shade darker than gabrielle union , when I press or touch my skin it goes to like rihannas shade meaning that the pills I take reduce the pigment from inside, but because their rich they have the money to get all over body chemical peels and stuff, how else could they be lying in the sun 1 minute and be 2 shades lighter the next day, anyway that's my take on celebrity skin whitening, I prefer it this way as my whole body is evened out I just have keep my dosages up and stay protected form the sun with spf creams.

Beyonce does bleach but not as harshly as rihanna does all african american celebrities use something its normal to them but they do stuff to obvious tell tell areas of their skin that most normall people wouldn't know this is a secret I have to keep schtum sorry peeps but I simply can't let it out!

I've seen multiple pictures of Rihanna at the beach in the sun. Bleaching the skin + Sun = disaster skin.

I am a light caramel my skin tone is very golden.. with a golden undertone as well, rihanna used to be just a shade or half shade lighter.. now she is way lighter , don't get me wrong she is a beautiful girl but lets just be honest about this for a second the chances of her just transforming into that color over night are slim to none people.

I think things just work different for people but I use my hq lotion with AHA soap (works wonders)if that helps if your skin tone is dark (like Gabriel union or kelly rowland) from my sisters experience (she was about Kelly Rowland) bleaching your skin AND THEN lightening works good with the pills. And of course she hasn't turned as light as me (from like Aaliyah/lauren londen to Cassie/tila tequila)but her skin is now a really nice brown/indian skin tone color:). A friend of mine used makari and she said she got burn blotches at the side of her face and beside her nose and that its WAY overpriced and only last like 2 weeks but I never tried it :S so maybe it might work I just wouldn't buy their products

I tried makari and it did not work but that was back in my depig days and ordering powder from china,, lol thank goodness I got out of that stage, I may include pills to help complement my lightening what is the active ingredient in these pills

I have an asia friend who's getting married and his fiancee refused to marry him until he got light so he's been bleaching is that also common among asians or is this like an extreem case.

Asians/Orientals we don't bleach children(I can't really speak for countries like India because I hear they do) but it is very popular in like Philippines(teens) or Malaysia where there is darker tan skin because they have melanin too.. but countries like Japan Korea and stuff they sell skin lightening stuff but not very popular there as it sells here the only thing it will do for them is take away pimple marks or make there skin smooth it wouldn't really lighten there skin.. skin whitening stuff from Japan usually works pretty good on african american skin my friend used a cream called YOKO and her face was brown as hell:cool:.. but I don't like that in the Philippines high profile celebrities that little children look up to endorse skin whiting on television so rubbish is already brainwashed in there head. OH YEAHH there are some vitamins for children in Japan that whiten there skin but I wouldn't trust that sh1t

Think it's a life commitment because the skin rejuvinates itself every 28 days, the only product that provides permanent skin lightening is mono, but it only works in people that are suffering from vitiligo

I think she looks so light now because 1. She's not in Barbados anymore and that means no more 365 days of sun a year and 2. she doesn't use dark bronzers anymore... she's gotten major success with the "universal" look so she's sticking to that.

Its these "swiss turbo lightening pills" and its also a face mask that you apply and it stops the melanin from forming and your skin. I think a combo of the pills, a facial cream, and lotion will work. I'm like kelly rowlands comlexion myself, I don't want to be light skin just a fw shades lighter. I'm a model and I love dark skin if I could choose I would be more of a tan complexion, light skin is so boring to me, tan complexions have an exotic look

There's nothing wrong with it but I honestly don't think she's doing it. She comes from a place where the sun is blazing almost every day, nowadays she's all over the world, some places where it's really cold and she gets minimal sun exposure. I think stuff like that weighs heavy on the situation too. And like I said before I've seen some of her family, some of them look and are white. I've seen her brothers that still live in Barbados and they are only like 2 or 3 shades darker than her.

:pI do alot of research and i dont think that these celebs rely solely on external products as when you look at the tones they all got the same skin tone and its almost see through, if you know what i mean, so they definitely consuming something internally, although im 1/2 shade darker than gabrielle union , when i press or touch my skin it goes to like rihannas shade meaning that the pills i take reduce the pigment from inside, but because their rich they have the money to get all over body chemical peels and stuff, how else could they be lying in the sun 1 minute and be 2 shades lighter the next day, anyway thats my take on celebrity skin whitening, i prefer it this way as my whole body is evened out i just have keep my dosages up and stay protected form the sun with spf creams.

hey guys sorry havent been on here for a while:) i found a new skin whitening pill that ive been taking since September from Japan it says that it stops the melanin from forming and speeds skin metabolism i bought alot so i wont run out & this time i can actually sell it to you guys for you to try.. hq hasnt darken my skin im 18 ive been using it since i was 14.. even my nosy azz family members been asking my mom how come my skin is almost white. i think things just work different for people but i use my hq lotion with AHA soap (works wonders)if that helps if your skin tone is dark (like Gabriel union or kelly rowland) from my sisters experience (she was about Kelly Rowland) bleaching your skin AND THEN lightening works good with the pills. and of course she hasnt turned as light as me (from like Aaliyah/lauren londen to Cassie/tila tequila)but her skin is now a really nice brown/indian skin tone color:). if you guys still want pics just pm me your email and i will send you my before and after pic of how i look now: but you have to send yous to be fair) and dont use things that peel your skin.

Sammy Sosa said he's using a "bleaching cream" to soften his skin and is not trying to change his pigmentation.

"I'm not a racist," he told ESPN Deportes.

Sosa, in his first public remarks since the famous photos became public, said he's not trying to look like Michael Jackson:

"What happened was that I had been using the cream for a long time and that, combined with the bright TV lights, made my face look whiter than it really is. I don't think I look like Michael Jackson," he said to ESPN Deportes.

OK, but the lights did not effect the shade of his lips though. I did see him on 2 hispanic stations being interviewed about what happened... but I understand very little spanish :(

Well, the lighting in the room looked slightly dim compared to the photos that were taken. But, there was a black hispanic who was interviewing Sammy and the interviewer's complexion was similar to Sammy's old color. Sammy looked quite pale to him, don't know if that was done diliberately to show the complexion differences. Sammy was still unrecognizable to me. I ouldn't be surprised if he was wearing foundation as well.

Well. I'm not sure about beyonce... I thnk she just has skin that can go light to dark easily.. so if she lightens, she can probably do it with kojic acid alon... but rHIANA... SHE IS LIGHT TOO , BUT STILL SHE IS PALE NOW... I don't know.. seems funny style to me to just claim she stays out the sun.. Lol...

In reply... at first I thought that they weren't. I thought that in the photos where their skin is darker, they had tanned... because everyone gets darker in the sun, even dark people... and I thought perhaps to go whiter, they just wore a lot of sunscreen... but some of the photos seem convincing enough. I wonder what they used to lighten their skin. My opinion is that they were all much more beautiful when they were natural. Especially Lil Kim... I think her skin color is absolutely beautiful when it's dark.

I felt that way about Michael Jackson too. I guess us white girls like to go darker (tanning) the same way dark people want to go lighter (bleaching) I guess we all want to look "light brown" :) Maybe one day... with enough interracial marriage and mixing of gene pools we'll all get lucky and have that light golden skin color we all want.
