When I turn on my panasonic TV I get no picture and no sound. I have tried to play a dvd and got the same result. Any ideas how to get the TV working again?

I need considerably more information on your connection scheme to be able to help you.
The quick easy thing to check for is that the TV has the correct input selected for the image and sound you are sending it.
