I purchased the above unit and installed it today and the final step was to insert lower glass part. Doing so the glass cracked just as I set into place. I looked at the net and could not find replacement parts and it looks like hampton Bay discontinued the line. Anybody know where there could be another supplier?

Contact Hampton Bay directly. Or, just return the fan to the store. The glass sounds as though it was defective.

Thanks for the reply. I tried to find a contact for them but the only info I found was that they import from Home Depot. I contacted them and there are no replacements globes. I did get a great deal (60% off) and it was the last instock. I used a woodstove glue to strengthen the glass around the crack. It is a heat resistant clear glue that adhears to glass and seems to be working.

So you paid 40% of the original price to replace a defective item? Put the defective one back in the box, return it to the store, and get your money back.
