Hi, I am trying to make sense of it all and find it rather confusing. Does anyone know of a good website or know anything at all about it?
Thanks,
yoyokerk:)

There's not much to it really. I guess the best way to describe a podcast is that it's like recording of a radio show. A piece of audio that you can download to your MP3 player (any MP3 player - not just an iPod) or PC and then play it back at a later date. The difference between a podcast and a normal piece of audio is that you subscribe to the podcast using something called RSS. This allows you to see when new episodes/recordings/etc. are released.
You can get podcasts on anything like news about your favourite bands, a rerun of the breakfast show off your local radio or a discussing over the new web design techniques.

Podcasting is online audio content that is delivered via an RSS feed. Many people liken podcasting to radio on demand. However, in reality, podcasting gives far more options in terms of content and programming than radio does. In addition, with Podcasting, listeners can determine the time and the place, meaning they decide what programming they want to receive and when they want to listen to it.
Listeners can retain audio archives to listen to at their leisure. While blogs have turned many bloggers into journalists, podcasting has the potential to turn podcasters into radio personalities.
