I just got a kitten a couple days ago the lady who I got it from said the kitten was 6 weeks old. Though later she called me and said the kitten was born on April 7 which wouldnt make the kitten 6 weeks old yet. Anyway the kitten isnt wanting to eat. I am feeding it from a kitten bottle. I have a mama cat who lays down for him to nurse on her, but he wont. I dont think he is getting enough milk from the bottle when I feed him. I tryed to give him soft kitten food and he wont eat that either. So do any of you know what I can do to make my kitten eat? It kind of worries me. Thanks!

Should be 8 weeks old before you adopt it out weaning it before then causes problems like you've having. Pet stores sell a powdered milk formula for puppies and kittens and the teeny bottles you need for an orphan kitten. You can also put the powdered milk on kitten food or mix powder water and dry kitten kibble a little at a time. They need to eat and drink milk around the clock every couple of hours. Will probably need a warm spot or a hot water bottle too since he isn't old enoughj to keep himself warm. I see you are a caring person but the lady who gave you this kitten could get into trouble for giving it away if she knew it had health problems instead of caring for it itself or simply letting it's own mother take care of it. Dumping an animal like this on you is illegal
