No, support can be based on need of the child, things like medical insurance, even private schools and their life style is considered often for payments beyond normal support.
But why in heavens name do you not want it though the court ?
To me it sounds like he knows he will have to pay a lot ( ALOT) more if you went to court and he is trying to scare or control you into not dong it.
I would go and talk to an attorney who is an expert at child support and have them tell you what you should be able to expect. And you should have the child custody order and child support order official in the court for your own protection
