I started a jazzercise class in January and I LOVED it. I worked up gradually and in April I was going for one hour every day but Sunday. The last time I went my ankle killed me and I limped out. I thought I had a sprain although I never twisted it. It has been about 4 weeks and it is worse instead of better. I did what the doctor instructed... the "rice" treatment. ANYWAY, I went back to see him because I can't walk. He didn't take x-rays but after examining my ankle and exactly where it hurts which is closer to the back of my ankle, he decided it was tendinitis. He put me on prednisone and told me I would be better by Sunday. Is this the typical treatment for tendinitis? I googled and I haven't found this is typical. I take 3 pills for six days and I am biting the bullet because I am STARVING taking the dang things. Plus it is only day 2 but I am NOT one bit better. Any advise? Anything I could do to speed this process up.. I am leaving for Mexico on Sunday and I would LIKE to be able to walk to the beach.. not hobble.
