The Fuel Shutoff Solenoid on my John Deere L110 needs to be replaced. Does anyone know how to remove the Solenoid anf the Carburetor float bowl?

Write down the engine number (stamped on the valve cover) & go to Operator Manuals, Illustrated Parts Lists & Wiring Diagrams - Briggs & Stratton (http://www.briggsandstratton.com/maint_repair/manual_and_more). The Briggs & Stratton site has parts diagrams available for you to review. The float bowl on my L118 was fairly easy to remove; just a couple of screws holding it to the bottom of the carb.

Hi,
Normal wrenches do not easily fit between the bowl and solenoid. I use a pair of ignition pliers. They are like a small pair of slip joint pliers; mine are Craftsman. They fit and work well.
Peace,
