What is the best way to clean a mildewy brick house exterior? I have a pressure washer, garden hose, and tank sprayer. I was hoping to get by without buying much more additional equipment. I expect to have to buy a brush for stubborn stains, but what is best and value-conscious for the project?

Also, what would be the a good solution or homemade mixture for general washing of the brick and for stubborn mildew and green stains left by removed shrubs?

A diluted bleach solution will clean up the mildew, use that tank sprayer and hose and maybe a brush if they are stubborn. Plain water and a brush are good for just cleaning up other areas without the mildew. Pressure washing brick can damage the grout, put moisture between the bricks and leave a streaky appearance on the brick faces.

TSP (Tri-Sodium-Phosphate) + bleach. Mixing directions on box.
