Check out this site:ADHD Medications and Treatments: AD/HD Medications During Pregnancy (http://blogs.webmd.com/adhd-medications-and-treatments/2006/08/adhd-medications-during-pregnancy_07.html)
Dexedrine (dextroamphetamine) is a Category (C) with pregnancy. This means that the benefits of the medication usually outweigh the risks to the fetus. If you doctor/midwife is aware you are on it, they may believe that it is beneficial to you and should not harm your baby.

I know about the benefits outweighting the risks, etc. but my psychiatrist says it is compared to crystal meth and doesn't want me to get back on it. However, my perinatal doctor said that after my first trimester it would be OK - I would just have to be monitored every few weeks to check on the baby's growth. The psych. Said that babies born to mothers who were on crystal meth have severe ADHD (which is my problem) and other mental issues. He is comparing dexedrine (legal drug) to crystal meth (illegal drug) because he says there are both basically speed. I seriously am so stressed because I can't work without it, and of course, having a baby I need the income and benefits. So, I was bascially wondering if anyone was on dexedrine and had a healthy baby that doesn't have mental issues.
