Please Help! My home is 17years old I have lived here for almost 2 years since I have lived here the water pressure throughout the house has been low I have had the water authority check it and they said it was within normal limits. Also, the water goes on and off throughout the day and when it comes back on you hear a clicking sound. Can anyone explain this to me and any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

"water goes on and off " do you mean that you have no water at all several times a day or is it just a pressure fluctuation?

How can your water department say that this is within normal limits? I would raise cain with them until they find the issue, I think it's their problem and not your home. When did this all start, was there working being done at the time?

This has been going on since day 1 I live in a development and they are constantly building new homes, apartments and condos.

What does the water department define as "normal limits"?
The average house pressure should stay a constant 45 PSI. What's yours? Regards, Tom
