Hi :) This might sound like a silly question but I have been seeing this great guy for about 2 months now.. We're together a lot and everything is going perfectly.. But he still hasn't asked me to be his girlfriend "officially".. Everyone asks me if we are together and I'm not really sure what to say.. Its not just a casual thing because we are always out with mine/his friends and the way he talks about us is as though we are a couple plans things together, is very affectionate with me in public, took his single status of myspace etc.
But
And this is the silly part.. Its kind of bothering me that he hasn't properly askd me out.. I was going to talk to him about it but everyone says I should leave it and go with the flow.. But is it right to just assume that we are together?Apart from that everything is great.. Am I weird for wanting to know?lol? What do you think I should do.. Talk to him about it or leave it?

I think its perfectly natural to want to know where you stand in your relationship, and what your status is.
Just talk to him. I'm sure he'll understand where you are coming from. What did he change his status to on myspace?
Good luck, girl.

You should talk to him.. communicate! It's so important to do that.. It could be a case of confusion on his part.meaning he may not be sure if he likes you enough yet.. for example
I was kind of friends with this one guy and he asked me out and I really wasn't interested but said yes anyway, because I was sick of being so picky, so I just kind of went with the flow for like 3 months and I couldn't even actually say I liked him (to other people who asked if I did like him), and he wanted to be bf/gf wayyyyy back, and I said I wasn't ready.. (which wasn't true, because again I wasn't sure I liked him) so finally after 3 months we became bBF/GF and we stayed together another 2 months and then it ended..
But when I found my current boyfriend, we were "in a relationship" within two weeks of meeting... the reason I waited so long with the other guy was becaseu deep down inside I knew he wasn't right for me.. stupid mistake..
My point is.. he could be confused about how he feels about you.. so talk to him figure it out.. and don't make the same mistake I made by wasting time with someone that's not right for you

So you think he might not like me? Ooh that's not good! The thing is its not me taking the initiative its always been him.. He got my number, he is the one who always initiates the dates/goes out of his way to see me. He lives about half an hour away and comes to pick me up to take me out etc. Yeah I know I should talk to him but I kind of want to wait for him to say it first which would be better..
Oh I forgot to mention what happened.. Me and my friend were talking about this situation and the same thing had happened to her so she said she'll ask him just casually during a conversation and see what he says.. So she was like "Oh bdw how long have you guys been going out now?" and he goes "Its been about a month now"..? So does that mean that we are? lol..

I think you should quite worrying, and just go with the flow, and get to know each other. Why start with the labels, when having a great time is being had. What's the hurry? That's what dating is about isn't it? Have fun and enjoy it, and then in another few months, you can have that just date each other talk, but for now he is still a stranger your finding out about. Your not in high school are you?

Haha no we are both in our early twenties that's why I feel kind of silly asking this question but I just kind of want the confirmation that we are together.. He already shows me with his actions in everyway I just want him to confirm it. Maybe I will talk to him that will be easiest rather than worrying about it for no reason.. Thanks for all your help!:)

Early 20's huh! Go slow and time will define the relationship. What's your hurry for a confirmation? What does that mean?

A lot of girls want to label the relationship because they want to be able to say "that's my boyfriend". If someone asks what your relationship is, just respond with "we're together". I know how you feel though. I've been in that situation. Guys don't care about that as much as girls do. Ask him what he thinks.
