I tried everything I can think of and my hair still feels dull. How can I get straight, shiny, sleek, soft, freeze free, manageable hair? HELP!

Usually you have to ask God or your mother to get this kind of hair that everyone wants like you described in your OP.

I use White Rain Shampoo - coconut. White Rain Coconut conditioner also. I have hair that everyone wants. I get so many compliments on my hair it's amazing. It's long, so long I can sit on it, so blonde it's almost white, and straight. It is shiny and has no flyaways, and is manageable as well (even though it's bleached). I also use L'Oreal Mega Moisture if the ends are dry. Sometimes the less you do to your hair the better. Just because White Rain is $1 a bottle I find it much better than the fancy $10 a bottle shampoos (and I've wasted my money on them in the past).

Go to your local Wal-Mart and check out the shampoos and conditioners that advertise for sleek, shiny and frize free hair. A lot of them will say that on the front.

I have curly hair so I opt for hair products that are for that.

Try sunsilk. Also there are hair serums and mousses that can tame frizzy hair.

As for getting your hair straight, try a straightner.

Coconut shampoos and conditioners are great! Coconut oil has been said to have hair penetrating properties. I use coconut oil and sometimes olive oil. It keeps my hair sleek and smooth. If you do use it, use a very, very small amount, warm it in your hand and apply to damp/dry hair and only to the mid lengths and ends.

I like to use baby shampoo because it's gentle and makes my hair really soft. And then I use a good conditioner, basically anything from redken, biolage, or herbal essences (depending on how cheap I'm feeling or what's on sale lol). I also never wash it everyday. A most I wash it every other day to keep it from getting dried out.

It's also good to use a leave in conditioner. I just started using herbal essences "break's over" leave in. its working pretty good.

You're right Justcurious55 about washing your hair every other day. I do the same thing, maybe even every two days. I have that kind of hair that doesn't look greasy if it hasn't been washed (it's curly). When a person washes it every day, they strip a lot of the essiental oils that hair needs.

I find that a lot of conditioners don't work for me because I'm still ripping through the knots after conditoning it. That's why I use the leave-in conditioning spray. It works great! It's funny because I use Sunsilk shampoo, and Treseme conditoner.

Washing your hair everyday actually makes your body produce more of the oils because when you wash them away everyday your body thinks it needs to make more. Once when I was sick and I knew I wouldn't be going out for a few days I just didn't wash my hair and it got really really greasy but after that I would only wash it every other day or every two days so then it stopped getting greay so fast. If you can go for a little while with greasy hair then later you don't have to worry about it.

And to make my hair less tangly I actually comb it in the shower while I have the conditioner in it. I've heard brushing wet hair can cause split ends but I've never had much of a problem with it.

Well because I have curly hair, there's no way that I would wait until it dries to brush it. It would have triple the knots then if it were wet. I tend to use a wide toothed comb because brushes damage the curls in my hair.

Use whipped cream. I tried it and it worked really well. It does not matter what brand. YOu can use walmart brand, cool whip, safeway brand, and target brand. Yes it does sound weird but it can condition your hair in 5 minutes or less.

Well I think that you should use allot of moisturizer and sleep with your hair covered most of the night and brush your hair and keep it clean
