I'm looking at buying a house. The one I like has a crack down one of the exterior walls, but does not extend into the slab. The crack is about 1/16 of an inch. The house is in central Texas. Is this a structural concern?

Shouldn't be a problem, you could get it filled in with some epoxy or grout. Any signs of water or moisture around it?

No signs of water damage.

That's good. Concrete shrinks as it cures, this is a common thing. No structural concerns there. Your home inspector will let you know if he thinks it is a problem but I doubt it will be.

All concrete cracks eventually and this does not sound like a problem.
