Try rebooting your computer first. Then reinstall the CD drivers. That should help.

What version of Windows? With XP and Vista there are NO CD drivers. Its all built in to Windows. Are you sure you have a CD burner? What software are you using to burn?

Scott, I used my CD burner about 3 months ago. I did reinstall drivers, but I understand they are built in. I still am unable to burn. :-(((((

I have tried to burn them on Real Player and Express Burn. I can't use WMP and I don't know why on this either. When I go to add and remove and to re download WMP , it does NOT show up on the list of programs to remove, BUT when I try to download it.. it stops and says I have a newer one downloaded and goes no further. I tried to download WMP 11, which I thought WAS the newest. I am just going to give up on it I guess.
Thanks for your time. Shirley

You didn't answer what version of Windows. Are you trying to burn MP3s or make an audio disk? Have you tried just dragging the files and droppign them on the Drive icon?

Ahh so you have Windows Vista. The version number you were looking at is an internal Microsoft number. Windows is not actuall known by this number. The versions of Windows have been:

Windows 3.0, 3.1, Windows for Workgroups, Windows, 95, 98, 98SE and Win ME on one branch and

Windows NT, 2000, XP and Vista on the other.
