Hi, I'm 29 and lead an active life with a physically demanding job. I have had three previous knee operations, repairing and removing medial meniscus in my right knee. Its been about two years since my last op, but recently I have been progressively getting pain in my knee again. The signs and symptoms are similar to previous experience, and it is even locking up ( to a lesser degree ) again. Could this be a tear in the remaining meniscus or the onset of arthritus? Or maybe something new? What are my options?

Hi, I have experienced similar pain in my knee. It sounds like the early symptons of meniscus trouble. I had a tear in the meniscus, which acts as padding in the joint. Is the pain in the outside or inside of the joint? If you feel the knee "locking up" then you see a specialist, if not then a physio can give you some excercises to stengthen your knees.
Good luck.
