Varies with different makes and models of Television. Please list the TV make and model number if you need to make further inquiries. It may help to list the labels and any plastic insulator colors on the input connectors too. Some manufacturer's post manuals on their web sites.
Optimally there will be enough sets of composite video (yellow) and stereo audio (red and white) input jacks on the back of the TV. To connect each source to a separate set of inputs. IF the TV is high definition and you are using cable or satellite you should be using component or HDMI inputs to connect the converter or satellite receiver.
Many TV remotes have a set of buttons labeled to match labels near sets of input jacks or a button to cycle through the input sources (may be labeled "input"). At one time some models used a special "channel" for the other inputs. Sometimes this pseudo-channel had a high two digit channel in the eighties or nineties. If you have this type you may have to "surf" through the channels if the pseudo-channels aren't listed in the manual though.
If you have more composite inputs than you have sources you may be able to purchase a switcher at a video game or TV retailer.
