My wife's periods are fairly irregular, but come early and never late. Sometimes she does a 28 day cycle but often can be anything up to a week early.

However, she last started a period on 29th March... this meant she would next be due to start on 26th April... however as yet she hasn't started her period. She has had periods of nausia, a metal taste in her mouth last night, tender breasts... we have done a pregnancy test which shows negative but still no period.

1- I know the pregnancy tests say from day your due to start they can be used and know that different women vary depending on level of the hormones they have... but could the test prove to be wrong?or is it highly unlikely?

I`d appreciate hearing from anyone with similar situations now or in the past.

Thanks.

Of course, the test could be negative... it's never 100% effective, that's why many use two at a time of test. I suggest you wait a few days, then take a two-pack (follow instructions... morning urine... before you pee... etc).

Yes the test could be wrong. Listen to Sneezy, if the test still shows negative and no period then you can always go to the doctor for a blood test. Good Luck.
