Hi: I am in nursing school for nursing assisting 2 and trying to learn my abbreviations & med terminology. I am having trouble with it is there any easy way to learn it. I will be taking my final this month and I sure could use your input, for learning it thank you.

I think that old school way is best for me. I was previously an Ophthalmic Technician, the way I learned all of mine was flash cards. I would study them and then have someone test you with them.

Flash cards can be self-made. Something on front answer on back.

If you have a lot of stuff to memorize, say "word", meaning and use in sentence. Create a recording, play it with "word" -pause for you to answer to yourself, then record the meaning and sentence. Worked for me.

I do think that the ideas of using flash cards and making recordings is excellent! Another thing that you might try is to type out information about the medical terminology and abbreviations. By doing that, you would have another visual to look at and way that you could remember because you had typed out the information.
