A man posted a help wanted sign for a truck driver I answered the notice he said he would hire me and that I would be his driver the runs have already started and he has been having his dad run them so that he doesn't have to pay anyone so now I am out the money I wouldve made is this legal ? I live in Ohio is there a verbal agreement law or a breach of contract law in Ohio that I could go after him for?

Find another job dude.
He has no obligation to hire anyone and everyone has the right to change their mind minus any written contract or obligation.
The time you are spending trying to figure out how to get money for nothing could be better used in your search for a job.

Ok, see if I have this right..
You answered a help wanted.
They said they would hire you.
They did not hire you after all.
Is this what you are saying??
If you quit another job or if you had costs invovled in moving to that locatoin for the job. Or some job cost that is reasonable, you may be able to sue them for that cost.
If you were unemployed and did not lose anything, you just find another job

The man could have hired you and fired you all in the same day so what's the difference if he hired his father instead of you? Find a different trucking company to work for. They are out there and looking for good drivers. Don't waste your time with small mom and pop companies as they will happily not pay you. Go with a medium sized firm or big firm instead. They have more to worry about if they don't pay you. Essentially you can't sue someone if you did not perform any work for them.
