I want to know what do I need to do to try and get custody of my 13yr old sister which her father came in got her by law they say.Him and my mom was not together any more.he drinks too much he can't keep a job and he is not stable.the hold time he had a chance to do for my sister he didn't do.he has so many dwi and he is behind in child support.how can this be.he was not in this child life.when my mom found out she had lung cancer what did he do leave because he did not what to take up that responabilty.he had a chance to do for my sister but he didn't.in the state of nc what do I need to do.because my sister cried when the court gave those orders because she knows how her dad treated her when her mom was living.how can the law be like that her mom past away she is already going though that then you take her away from her sister and brother who has been there with her and put her with her father who has not been there for this child that is too much on a child if they are looking for the best for that chid I don't understand.

If there are "orders" a court must have already heard this and determined the father IS responsible and capable - if the Court is wrong a responsible adult would have to go to the local Family Court and file for custody, with proof that the father is not fit to be the custodial parent.

The father "took" just the one child and left two behind?
