My spouse in in L1 and I am in L2 with EAD. I am planning to work for an Indian company for the indian salary. Is it legal to do so? I will be resident of US by tax. Please let me know.

Technically you can but better seek info from tax experts on how you should have your tax filed properly.

Since you are not L-1, so it does not matter if you work or not.
