View Full Version : Basement wall crack
big mistake
Apr 28, 2008, 05:44 PM
We have a crack in the basement wall at the gas meter location. And water is getting through to the laundry room. I called a contractor he priced the repairs for 1200$ just for the one crack and said epoxy is no longer used.
Can you let me know what needs to be done and if 1200$ is the right price?
Thank you so much

In sum, you could use one of two crack repair kits: (1) Urethane Wall Crack Repair Kit (http://www.basementselfsolve.com/basement-wall-crack-repair-kit/) for walls that have been "untouched" or (2) an Epoxy Injection Kit (http://www.basementselfsolve.com/epoxy-injection-basement-wall-crack-repair-kit/) for walls that are also in need of a structural repair. The kits run around $129 and are very easy to use. As you can see, epoxy kits are still used and proven very effective!
