I have Model#AFD2535DES that now is not cooling.
It's design is the freezer pulls out from the bottom and the top fridge side has french type open out doors.
I hear a strange buzzing every now and then coming from the bottom of the unit.
The freezer section went warm first, then the Fridge section later that night.
I purchased the unit in May of 2005, so I know that the compressor has a 5 year warranty, but what if it is not the compressor? What if it is just a simple relay?
Can anyone offer me any true advice on this matter?
I am mechanically inclined (automotive) but the appliance industry is really not my thing.

It's not the compressor. Sounds more like the defrost switch needs changed. If you have a multitester and know how to use it I would suggest checking all the components and see which one is gone. It's nothing more than a car in a different wrapper.
