I recently tuned up my craftsman lawn tractor w/ Kohler 15.5 OHV engine, I changed the plug, air filter, oil and fuel filter. The engine starts but after a while stalls. When it stalls I notice that the fuel filter in empty. Somehow the gas is not feeding constantly to the carb. I suspect I have a problem with air in the line. I there a convenient way to bleed this or am I way off base here?

Either off base, or right on. Does the current fuel filter have excessive cracking? If so you could be sucking air instead of fuel. What about your tank? I retrieved a beetle from a John Deere that came in doing the same thing once. The beetle somehow got into the fuel tank and while driving around cutting grass, he would become lodged into the fuel port on the fuel tank, killing the engine. After a while, he would somehow become dislodged, the engine would crank and do it all over again.

The Fuel filter is brand new and does not seem to be disfunctional. When I discconect to filter from the line feeding from the tank. Gas flows freely therfore do not suspect a clog.
