Check out this site. It is the American Film Institute list of 100 years of movie quotes...

I am not familiar with 18... Does that make me a movie geek?

Yes you are. I missed 25 of them. I never realized how many movies I watched. But I think I knocked out a lot of movies on that 3 day movie marathon.

LOL! Why, thanks DBC! :D

I'm secure in my geekiness... ;)

I still can't believe I know that many quotes. I mean I was there for the 3 day movie marathon, but I slept through most of it.

HistorianChick

They're classics. That just means you're a classic kind of guy! :)

Da Bigchamp
Apr 25, 2008, 11:29 AM
I guess, the classics are the best. Although I must admit all the movies with Tom Cruise in were the ones I missed. And the chick flics.

HistorianChick
Apr 25, 2008, 11:31 AM
Chick flicks, understandable. :)

Tom Cruise? Even Top Gun? "I feel the need — the need for speed!"

Da Bigchamp

I don't know, something about Tom Cruise gets on my nerves.

HistorianChick
Apr 25, 2008, 11:33 AM
I must admit, Val Kilmer was more eye candy in Top Gun than Tom Cruise! ;)

After reading the quotes, I feel a need to watch the Godfather again.

HistorianChick
Apr 25, 2008, 11:35 AM
Ahh... The Godfather. I honestly did like that movie...

All except the horse head part... that was nasty.

Which reminds me a commercial I saw during the super bowl.

Missed 36... a few of those I could have guessed to the movie, but I didn't remember the line as remarkable.

And the godfather one and two were awesome. Maybe that has to do with my dating two italian girls and marrying one. As for godfather 3, I could look at sophia coppola all day, but she directs better than she acts.

HistorianChick

I liked Godfather part 1. Wasn't too keen on 2 and 3.

1 is pure classic. :)

36... wow... All right, so, I am a movie geek. Lol

And I missed a number of classic movie quotes... not to mention I don't have a mind for things like this...

I can read a book, love it, and have to search to find the authors name. My wife will know it for the rest of her days.

Well one worked for the fed govt, had a weapons permit, and had "sniper" vision...

Nothing like knowing your girl could pick you off at 200 yards to keep you on the up and up.

I dated an ex-Cia agent before. She thought I was cheating on her and one day I could really swear there was a person in a trench coat following me.

I'm exaggerating, there was no trench coat, just people who seemed to look like her kept popping up on me. But I caught her, because I read the Bourne book series and know how to see throgugh disguises..

I'm just surprised I was able to make it out of that relationship alive. I honestly though I would "disappear" before I got out of that relationship.

Dated a girl whose mother wouldn't for the same reason.. but then she also was a bit off the deep end, the kind that would measure the distance between hangers to space things out right.

Thankfully, her daughter was just a fraction neurotic as the mother... deliberate order present, but not measured in inches.
