Where can I buy liability insurance for my pitbull? Our county has just passed a law banning pits unless you meet several requirements within 30 days and can charge $25-50@day plus seize your pit. Please help me out with some adivice on where to get the insurance at an affordable rate. Thxs, salliegoodie

So what country are you in ?
I live in a small town in Ontario and all pits have to be muzzled on the street. Everyone is complying with the new ordinance so far and no problems with it. Its just that we have had some really bad attacks in the last year or so, in the Toronto area, mostly pits getting out of yards and attacking other dogs and sometimes kids.

American Pit Bull Registry is everything Pit Bull - Pit Bull and pet insurance (http://www.pitbullregistry.com/pitbull%20and%20other%20pet%20insurance_.htm)
Pit Bull Friendly Insurance Companies (http://www.pitbulllovers.com/pitbull-articles/pit-bull-friendly-insurance-companies.html)
Actually it is though your home owners insurance normally.
And many home insurance companies will even cancell you if they know you have one.
The links above should help

Thxs for the advice pn the homeowners but I am a renter. As far as the muzzle goes I am OK with adhering to that requirement. It's the $100,000 insurance per animal.

Ok, if you rent, I hope sure hope you have a renters policy, and the renters policy is considered a "homeowners" just without a home, you get the same liablity coverage and coverage on your belongings.
So yes call the company you have your renters policy from, since liablity insurance is included in them also

Pitbulldogs can never be banned here's why...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It is unconstitutional to discriminate against citizens who own particuler breeds of dogs.. if there is a ban against one breed the law must apply to all breeds because it affects the citizens constitutional right not to be discriminated against for owning a particuler breed (ie oregon state ).. they had to make their bite laws all inclusive for all breeds because of the unconstitutionality of breed specific legislation that affected citizens right to not be discriminated against for owning a particuler breed... the breeds , dogs themselves have no constitutional rights it is the citizen that does... and all breed specific legislation can be fought and won because of the individual citizens constitutional right not to be discriminated against... as a pitbull owner or owner of any breed "DON'T FORGET THIS" and the aclu will help based on this... it was done in oregon and can be done everywhere so long as you fight for (your right ) not to be discriminated against, not the (breeds right) the breeds have no constitutional rights... understand? I hope so.. independent dog breeders association, american dog breeders association...
