A/C units are designed to work at a higher temp. If you could get a stock A/C to 50 the indoor coil will freeze first. Best to set in the 72/80 degree range.

First question is why 50. Next question is are you trying to use a normal A/C unit in a walk in cooler(it won't work). Your evap coil is going to freeze up every time when you start to hit the mid 60s and start pumping liquid and then take out the compressor.

I love it very cold even in the winter I put it on. Next question is how long can you ac unit last for if you keep it running all day.
