Hei,

I was wondering what the consequences were for reporting someone/a school that is giving out I-20's to students who pay the fee, but then not requiring them to attend classes. The classes that are offered are not divided into levels, and there are not start/stop term dates, so those of us who do attend don't get a good educations and it is a waste of time. I have also heard the head of the school threaten to sue someone who wanted to transfer out and said that they didn't attend enough and he would sue them. Should I and how would I report this person? Will I or the faculty/staff be in trouble and is there protection of name etc? Thank you for your minutes and suggestions.

Under SEVIS program, all schools that can issue I-20 must report attendance records of all international students to DHS. In this case, it seems the school knows exactly that these students are working illegally, probably full time, so they use this fact as a threat.

This is serious case... Yes, you can report this matter to ICE at Immigration and Customs Enforcement (http://www.ice.gov/) and you can keep your identity anonymous.
