I am trying to replace my old thermostat with a new Humter Programmable Thermostat but as I can tell from surfing wire matching is not an easy thing. My unit was put into service in 1976. In the old thermostat there are the following wires:

Y - Yellow
G - Green
R - Red
O - Orange
E - Ebony / Tan
C - Coral
W2 - Beige or White

The new thermostat has

G
RC
RH
Y/O
W/B
Y1

From surfing I think that Red goes to RH which is jumpered to RC. Green goes to G. Yellow and Orange go to Y/O. But am not sure if this is correct or what to do with the other wires. Can anyone help?

Yellow Y1,Green G,Red RC with a jumper to RH, Orange Y/O, Green G, White W/B, cap off the tan wire that went to E.
