Unlike most people my problem is not with my face but with my knees, my knockles and my feet, they are about 2 shades darker than my skin tone. My knockles and my knees are not really a major problem compare to my feet. Few years ago my skin on my feet started to get irritated, very itchy and dry, got finally diagnosed with lichen simplex chronicus and I believe all the cream that I was prescribe that were steroid based contributed to the darkening of my skin which has also become rubbery and dry. To treat this situation was then prescribed Vanos to be used for two weeks and just recently 40%urea to soften the skin, needlesss to say it has yet to solve the hyperpigmentation. I will consulting with my dermatologist in few days and I would like to know what if anything can used to safely lighten my skin and be able to wear short and skirt during the summer.
