In short... I had a leaky faucet from the hot water valve of my two handle shower. I shut off the main water valve and the hot water valve. Every faucet in the condo shut off, except for the one that I needed... the tub. I pulled the knob off to fix the leak and water shot out everywhere. That was strange to me because every other faucet was completely shut off and I did not expect that. Does anyone have any idea why water would still be running, but only in the shower. I've been told that since the tub is at the lowest point that it may just be excess water drainage. But the problem is, it left it running for over an hour and it still did not stop. Any ideas! Please!

This is one of those questions that can only be answered if your there to track it down. The only valve that should have been shut down is the cold water supply to the heater. I can think of no reason the hot water side of your valve should have pressure when the entire system's been shut down.
Perhaps one of the other experts can come up with a explanation but it's a mystery to me too. Tom

Thanks for trying. I can't figure out either.
