I have a problem with my mower, I pump it as recommended but it will only run for a few seconds, the more pumps the longer it runs then quits. Never runs for more that 2 min.
I have cleaned gas lines, checked oil and filter, and have set and changed spark plug. Why will it not stay running? It is a 3.75 B&S.

Sounds as though the diaphram is bad, this is a simple fix for the d.i.yer.

Make sure the bowl nut is clean , there are small holes in the nut that controls the fuel flow. Use a piece of fine wire to clean them out and shoot some carb cleaner through them to make sure you have flow. PROTECT YOUR EYES!
