Hi probably a silly question.ive been offered 2 year old saint bernard dog for the fraction of the price you would normanly pay,the owner is moving and can't take the dog with them.the question is the dogs eyes are different colours and when I ask for a look at the papers off the owner he says there in the house somewere and can't find them.are trhe eyes an indacation that its not a full breed or could have been interbread,thanks in advance for your replys

I did a web search for the standards of this breed and it is only for colour and facial features, northing about eyes. I would suggest you call the American Kennel Club for this information as it is a good question if you are buying a purebred and may want to breed with papers. It is a shame that a lovely breed as this has to be sold for l/2 price. He should only wish for a good home.

Thanks for replying it would definitely get a good home with me I'm a dog lover I have 3 other dogs already it would be well taken care of.its not for breedind purposes I want the papers I was hoping to train him,groom him and posibbly show him but can't if he is not a full breed I'll look into it more thanks all the same

If you at least know the sire and dam and where he was born, you can still obtain copies of his papers through the American Kennel club. Good luck, they are a wonderful breed.
