I'm 16. I was at a gathering over easter and got talking to a pretty girl. Considering everyone else was 16, I assumed she was also 16. We, well, got with each other, nothing too far, just made out. We swapped numbers , etc.

A few days later we got texting and the like, and it came up she was 14. I was shattered.

It turned out that she was really self-centred (coincedently an only child) and emotionally immature. So it didn't work out anyway.

But for future reference, how old is too young for a lad my age? As cowardly as it sounds, I suppose I'm too concerned on what others will think.

I think 14 is fine for a 16 year old to date. In my school the girls always dated boys two years older as a general rule, and most people wouldn't start dating until they were 13/14. Along as it is only dating not sex this age gap works fine.

15. 14 is just to young, and immature, and can mean a lot of trouble. Why even take a penitentiary chance on someone that young?
