I recently installed a Harbor Breeze ceiling fan w/florescent light kit. To control the fan and light I installed a remote switch manufactured by the same company, Harbor Breeze. The problem I am having is the fluorescent light is constantly flickering, whether the fan is running or not. I would greatly appreciate any assistance in this matter. Thanking you in advance, Bill.

The lamp can flicker for several reasons, either the lamp is not seated in the socket properly and firmly, or the lamp can be defective. There is another part that operates the lamp called a ballast, which may be defective. This may be a magentic core/coil type transformer, or it may be a small box with electronic parts inside.

A loose wire at the lamp socket or the ballast will also cause a lamp to flicker.

Cold will cause to flicker, in the unlikely event the light is subjected to a cold atmosphere.

The simple item you should be able to do is to check all wires and connections to be sure they are tight.

Is your fluorescent lamp connected to a dimmer? Most flourescents aren't designed to be dimmed, although some are manufactured for that purpose.
Is your fluorescent light an enclosed retrofit lamp, or is it a true fixture with a ballast, lamp and perhaps a starter? You say it constantly flickers; does that mean you CAN'T turn it off?
