Sounds like something got miswired.. Look under the cover (or see wiring instructions) of the pressuretrol and review your wiring to box. Also review wires themselves, make sure not touching inside the box. Start there... get back to us... Mark

Are you saying that the pump once worked well without throwing the breaker but now does, or that you have installed a new pump and the new pump throws the breaker? If this is the same pump you have used successfully before, then at the least, since you've already replaced some pump items, then replace the breaker. Not expensive or hard to do, or you can get an electrician to handle it if you are not prepared. As well, if you happen to have clamp on ammeter, see how many amps you're pulling when the pump is on.
Other than a defective breaker, I can only think of two things that would cause your breaker to throw. It could be broken insulation on wire, which would allow the wire to arc to ground and throw the breaker. The other would be the pump itself being either defective or a new pump which pulls more amps than your breaker can handle.
