Over the past week or so my nipples have been really sore and I have been sick a couple of times, my period is only late by a couple of days. I am on the contreseptive pill but I fear I may be pregnant.

Can any one tell me if this could be symptoms of pregnancy.

You could be pregnant. Only time will tell on this one. Wait until you are really late and do a home pregnancy test.
