Were are thinking of installing a hand held bidet for lack of space in the bathroom. The typical installation is to attach it to the water supply to the toilet but since we are in a cold part of the states I was thinking of using a Thermostatic Mixing Valve like the one below. Kohler K-13601. I need to know if this is possible.

Don't see why not, sounds like a good idea to me. Of course you will have to pipe the hot water over to the toilet area. Personally I think I would cut a recess in the wall and finish it with the mixing valve as shown.

Harold.. I swear now... when I saw this question I thought... "Don't see why not, sounds like a reasonable idea to me..of course, will need to run the hot water pipe over..."!! You believe that..

LJM... I would do exactly as Harold so nicely presented... just wanted to pop in and present a recessed washing machine box (see pic.) that I thought would allow you to have nice finish at recess as well as two holes for hot and cold (remove valves from box) and allow for accessibility of mixing valve... you will need to drill/cut third hole in WM box for MIXED TEMP. water pipe to run behind wall to a female adapter for the handheld bidet to connect to using a brass nipple.

Hey Guys... have great night... Mark

Harold/Mark

I had not thought about the finishing details for my connection you both have me a Great idea. I can even use an access door to cover the mixing valve. Bringing the hot water near the toilet is not a problem since I have access to the crawl space.

Thanks for the ideas...

And go NYY
