OK so um I'm kind of new to this and unsure how everything really works so I'm sort of shy and feel odd to talk about it but I still want to know so I was basically messing around with my girlfriend and we didn't really have sex but she had her underwear on and a pad, this was during her period and she was wondering if its possible that I got her pregnant. I did not ejaculate at any time and I was technically not really inside her if you know what I mean but anyway I was basically just wondering what anyone's opinion would be. I already know she can get pregnant on her period but it was through a pad and underwear and I didn't ejaculate either so I'm unsure and I'm hoping to find some answers on various things that I was wondering

Unlikely, I'd even be willing to stick my neck out and say, not at all possible.
You didn't actually have intercourse, she was wearing underwear and a pad, you didn't ejaculate. What exactly were you doing?
When you say you were technically not really inside her, does that mean you weren't all the way in, or you didn't enter her vagina with your penis at all. Were you fully clothed? I guess we need more info.
Based on the way that I read your post I'm sticking with no, not pregnant.

I would say, no you did not get her pregnant. But to be on the safe side if you plan on having dry sex again, next time buy some condoms just in case, its much better to be safe than sorry. Ive done this before with my old bfriend, had the same worries. The truth is, who knows? And well... while wearing a condom mite be like "oh we're really gonna have sex" it doesn't nec. Mean that, I think it's a good idea to use them for dry sex too.

Dry h*mping?? Not likely to get pregnant.
LMAO, that's what I was going to say.
Sorry, dude, you can't get pregnant this way. But before you go any further, you better decide if you are ready to be a father for the rest of your life. Next time you may not be so lucky.

First she had her clothes on and her period. I know sperm are pretty tenacious, but yours would have to possess some magical properties to get through that to be successful!

I am still concerned over the "not technically inside" was he pushing under the underwear? Under the pad, where was he, was there any liquid and so on.

I think if you had to ask a question like that you shouldn't be humping at all. How old are you? You should really read up on your sex ed

scorpgc disagrees: I think you should probably lighten up on the lad. You don't know his culture, experience or age. Has nothing to do with it, I admire him reaching out to ask... which is what a "community" is all about.
Please use forum guidelines for disagrees... this is best used for factually incorrect information. Part of being in a community is allowing for differing opinions as well. If you disagree with an opinion, try to talk it out briefly if you have something to add.
But please... don't talk up the idea of a community forum and then bash those who take harder lines. Its part of the AMHD site. Inappropriate posts will be dealt with by moderators.

Way to go!! You can alienate a kid with just a few words and who will probably NEVER ask an embarrassing question to ANYONE again. I'm sure your hand is already patting your back. How old are you??

I doubt she is pregnant, but understand the concern, so please find out the facts before doing it again. Just to be sure you have the facts,
What teens should know before having sex - Google Search (http://www.google.com/search?q=What+teens+should+know+before+having+sex&hl=en&sourceid=gd&rls=DNUS,DNUS:2008-11,DNUS:en)
You both should read ALL the articles.

Lanfire49, I sure hope you keep on asking questions when you need answers to something that you are unsure of. Please don't feel embarrassed to ask us anything. You had a concern, and you were being responsible enough to ask for answers.
Take Talanimans advice, and read the info he linked for you, so that maybe the next time you find yourself in a situation like this, you will have more information, and the knowledge to know what you should and shouldn't do. :)
