Hi,

I want to know what are the forms I have to fill to complete my income tax return.

I am F1 visa holder and I've been doing a cpt during the last 9 months.

Since I've been working part time, my employer says I don't get a W2 form from them. Instead I got the form 1099-MISC.

Question 1: What are the forms I have to fill?

Question 2: Is the form 1099-MISC enough to fill the requiered forms?

Thanks

If you have not completed 5 years on F1 and OPT, you will file nonresident tax return.

Read about nonresident filing:

You will report 1099-Misc income on schedule C (Form 1040). If you are nonresident then your income on schedule C is exempt from FICA taxes that is you will not file schedule SE.
How you will treat the 1099-Misc income, read: Your U.S. Tax Return: W2 or 1099: Employee or Independent Contractor. (http://taxipay.blogspot.com/2008/03/w2-or-1099-employee-or-independent.html)

Thanks MukatA,

I am non-resident and I haven't completed 5 years of F1 and OPT, so finally I am submitting these two forms:

- f1040 Schedulle C
- f1040NR

Am I right? May I include the form f8843 to provide information about my school?

Thank you very much again.
