If a lottery ticket gives 1:99 odds, what is the probability of drawing two winning tickets
If you toss a fair coin twice, what are the possibility of tossing two tails
What are the odds against a horse winning, if the probability of the horse is 15/22.

If a lottery ticket gives 1:99 odds, what is the probability of drawing two winning tickets

Well the probability of drawing one winning ticket is 1/100 so the probability of drawing two would be 1/100 * 1/100

If you toss a fair coin twice, what are the possibility of tossing two tails

Well the probability of tossing one tails is 1/2 so the probability of tossing two tails is 1/2 * 1/2

What are the odds against a horse winning, if the probability of the horse is 15/22.

Well the probability of the horse winning and the probability of the horse not winning have to sum to 1, so the probability of the horse not winning would be 1 - 15/22
